Notes: It is my intent to standardize procedures for the Honor Guard. The following was taken from the Marine Corps manual on the internet and modeled to fit our upcoming Memorial Day Service. The procedure has been modified only to the extent that the Marine Corps manual calls for a "step Out" at the command "Riflemen face half right", coming to Port Arms, and Loading a round in the chamber. Then on the Ready command, releases the safety.
Historically, we have had a bit of difficulty with that so I have modified the procedure to Attention, Port Arms, Half Right Face, Ready, (step out), Aim, ( shoulder the piece), and fire. I believe my modification is not a radical departure and considering our age and ability to handle the piece, more easily coordinated.
